Whether you come in for individual, couples, or family therapy, I’ll work with you by being real and showing up as an authentic person who experiences the same struggles as everyone else. We may work on serious issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, or addiction, and use interventions such as EMDR or attachment theory, but one thing is always certain: we are in this together.

A SENSE OF BELONGING
When you pass through my door, I want you to feel like you belong. It took courage to reach out, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m going to walk with you every step of the process, from your first visit through your final session. At the end, you’ll walk forward with the skills and tools you need to take ownership of your life, and to care for yourself and those you love.
I’m constantly exploring and connecting new ideas and concepts, and bringing them to our work in order to enrich and deepen your experience. You’ll get useable and practical techniques to transform your life. We will explore ideas and concepts, connect the past to the present, and approach your life experiences with humor, warmth, and transparency. I will connect you with the tools and perspectives that you need to grow.
INDIVIDUALIZATION and UNIQUENESS
I’m going to show up real, and you get to show up real. That’s the only way that this is going to work. You get to express yourself in a judgement-free environment, and I get to show you that we’re in this messy and imperfect process together.
As you share, I like to take details of your life that may not appear to be related, and help you see how they are all connected. Through that process, you’ll see yourself, your life, and your experiences through a different perspective that will help you break through barriers that have held you back. It’s time to let go of the strategies that hide your authentic self.
Humor not only helps us heal, it brings hope. Even in our darkest times, there is space for a smile and a laugh. As we work through difficult and painful issues, we’re also going to laugh together. After all, we’re only human. Laughing together is special.
